You will be doing a slide focusing on an important person from Ancient Greece. It can be a philosopher, scientist, artist, etc. You will need to design the slide yourself. I have included some videos below in case you need help with creating text boxes, inserting pictures, etc. You will need to include the following on your slide. (1 Slide Only Please!)

* Title- Person's Name
* Your Name
* Make sure you put your name and the name of the person in the title found at the top of the slide as well. You will see where I tell you to insert that information in parenthesis.
*Time period they were alive for
* What were/are they famous for with details and examples
* A Picture
* Any other important information or interesting facts (Like where they lived, how old they were, is anything named after them, etc.)
* A BIBLIOGRAPHY Box- See note below

The slide has been posted for you. You don't need to go into drive and create a new one from a blank slide.

REMEMBER< DO NOT CUT AND PASTE FROM THE INTERNET! THAT IS PLAGIARISM. USE THE FACTS YOU FIND AND PUT THEM INTO YOUR OWN WORDS. THEN MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE WEB ADDRESS IN THE BIBLIOGRAPHY.
Complete the Achieve 3000 article assigned to you titled, "Ancient Greece and Rome: Old Bones Show Doctor's Work". Take your time and do not rush! It seems like once you complete it, it does not allow you to go back and re-do it. You should be scoring a 75% or higher when completing the activity. Whatever your score is, that is what will be posted as your grade so TAKE YOUR TIME! This is due next Monday, 5/24. We will also go over it today in class. Remember, log into Achieve 3000 through clever. It is the red box with the white figure doing a cartwheel. It is not the math one.
Complete the Achieve 3000 article after it is explained in our 11:00 am zoom class. You will read it and complete the activity. You must get a 70% or better before you can mark the assignment done by submitting it here. The teachers will then go in, look at your work/score, then give you credit. DO NOT TURN THIS IN UNTIL YOU GET A 70% OR BETTER! Whatever score you get will be counted as a quiz score, so you can complete it as many times as you'd like. Once you submit the assignment here, whatever score you have will be recorded and posted. You will not be able to go back and re-do it after it is submitted. You have until next Monday, 5/10 to turn this in, or it will be a 0.
This week, you will take the information from last week that you researched about your Greek God or Goddess, and write the information into a presentation slide posted below. Even if you worked with a partner, you must each have your own slides completed and turned in. These slides will count as a project grade for both ELA and Social Studies, so it's SUPER important you get them done and do a good job! This presentation will be due next Monday, May 3rd. We will go over the slides and I will give further directions during class today at 11:00 am.
This is a 2 part lesson:
1. read the reading passage and answer the 5 questions fully. (remember to annotate and highlight)

Remember,
-Highlight and annotate the text as you read. I suggest highlighting where you find your questions answers.
- Give 3 questions you have before, while reading, or after reading the text
-answer the questions completely using evidence from the text ( think power of 3's - meaning at least 3 supports are usually what is expected and sufficient evidence)
- hit turn in on both tpt and google classroom assignment in order to receive credit and be checked by the teacher.

I will not continue to return work that is incomplete. Make sure you do all the bullets above before submitting.

This assignment is due on Wednesday 3/31/21 at 11:00 AM.
