21st Century Community Learning Center Afterschool Program
The 21st Century Community Learning Center Afterschool Program at PS 23 provides students with exciting opportunities to learn, explore, and grow beyond the regular school day. This year, our program has a special focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), giving students the chance to dive into hands-on projects and real-world problem solving in a fun and engaging way.
Through our many partnerships, including Liberty Science Center, students will enjoy interactive learning experiences, special workshopsa and exciting field trips that bring science and technology to life.
In addition to STEM exploration, the program provides rigourous academic support and tutoring to strengthen skills in reading, writing, and math. Our staff works closely with students to ensure they are not only keeping up with their schoolwork, but also building confidence as learners.
Students also have the opportunity to choose and explore STEM topics that interest them from robotics and coding, to environmental science and engineering challenges making learning meaningful and student-driven.
Most importantly, the program is designed to be safe, supportive, and fun. A place where students can discover new passions, make new friends, and develop the skills they need for success in school and beyond.
