A new week of distance learning begins. This week we will be wrapping up Chapter 10 and TESTING on Thursday. Testing. (Did I say "testing"?)

GET INTO MY GOOGLE CLASSROOM

I emailed everyone an invite again. Even if you didn't get an invite, you just JOIN A CLASS and type the code listed below in last week's post. (Scroll down.)

Your parents are receiving email/texts from me about participation so please make sure you're getting your assignments in on time. These grades count for 4th marking period, just as if we were in the same room together. They count. (Did I say "they count"???)

TEST DAY THURSDAY

Thursday you'll be assigned the Chapter Test, just as last Thursday's Mid Chapter quiz was assigned. Reach out to me on Google Classroom (classroom.google.com) if you have questions. Head there now and click the ASSIGNMENTS tab and check your work for this week.

3/16/20
Welcome to my 4th grade math/science class page. Unfortunately the first time we're using this is during the current school closure. Hope to see you back at school soon. Meanwhile, I've assigned several weeks worth of math and science to keep instruction going while we're physically apart.

MATH: As indicated on your cover sheets, you will do one day's worth of assignments, per day of school closure. Most days consist of:

- NJSLA Practice Workbook (the blue book),
- the lesson video in your GoMath ThinkCentral account (bit.do/thinkcentral4)
- the Share and Show questions (assigned in bit.do/thinkcentral4 website's "To Do" section.) The lessons cover Chapters 6 and 7, since they've been the most challenging to date.

After an entire chapter of videos and Share and Show questions, there is an assigned chapter test, as well as some NJSLA practice questions in your stapled packet. (Not the blue NJSLA book, but the paper packet.) This happens on Day 9 and Day 21.

YOU CAN ACCESS THE FULL DIRECTIONS SHEET AND NJSLA PACKET IN THE "LINKS" BUTTON IN THE RIGHT NAVIGATION BAR ----->

SCIENCE: There is a paper packet with review material on the topics we've covered, such as "Weathering, Erosion, and Deposition", "Energy", "Volcanoes", "Plants," and others. There is an activity and/or questions that accompany each section. Please read the review material and complete the sheets for each.

YOU CAN ACCESS THE SCIENCE PACKET IN THE "LINKS" BUTTON IN THE RIGHT NAVIGATION BAR ----->

Ms. Hutton's links for Social Studies and ELA are also included in my LINKS button to the right.

Hope to see you guys in 204 soon!
